Wheesung Shines with Luv Shine

Speaking of Wheesung’s 4th album Love Love! Love? which is one of his albums that i have totally abused playing over and over,  I saw this video post at You Tube.  In one of his radio tours, he sang Luv Shine.

This is one of those songs that I like to listen to in that album along with 왜 나만 (Wae Naman – Why Only Me), 커다란 너무 커다란 (Keodaran Neomu Keodaran – Great ,So Great), 일년이면 (Inyeon Imyeon – A Year Passed), Goodbye Love etc.   I like how he played with his voice in the rendition of this song.  The softness and mild curls (and some light huskiness) of his style is so pleasant to listen to. 

Normally songs heightens up during  chorus but this one got its climax towards the end, at 3:52 of this video he gradually delivered it. I really like 4:10 to 4:16 i noticed form the songs that I like there are portions which has a similar feel as this one.  It’s like when you close your eyes and listen to it, your mind is totally blown by that portion of the song.  Looking at how Wheesung is singing at that point — I felt like hugging him (oh well i lways wanted to hug him anyway).   I think that makes me like Wheesung a lot, in every song he sings there is this portion that will touch your senses. 

In my opinion (and preference) the 4th album does not have the song that is too popular or too outstanding compared to his hit songs from the rest of his albums. BUT its the album that you can listen to from start to finish without itching to go on the next song.   This make the album outstanding for me, it is a collection of really nice songs and Luv Shine contributed to that.

Finally 하늘에서 Live!

Yeah I know this is an old performance but this is the first time I saw Wheesung perform this beautiful song live.  Four years ago seems to be so old now.   I couldn’t believe what I am hearing…makes me ponder on what others usually say — that his voice was better then. 

Fantastic rendition by Wheesung I love the R&B and jazzy after-feel of this song.   Its a 5-star performance for me.  I love the performance as much as I love the song. 

I guess this is still Wheesung’s YG times…the rap version of 일년 이면 (Inyeon Imyeon) was sooooo good.  I was wondering who was the two other rapper who joined him.

일년 임연-Ilnyon Imyon MV (A Year Passed)

Last week I was surfing for Wheesung’s video over the internet.  I actually learned about this site called veoh.com which is somewhat similar to You Tube.  There I found an old music video from his Love…Love?…Love! Album as the title of this post says. 

It was a sad song featuring a rough and rugged Wheesung.  He played two roles in the MV, the old and the new lover.  Judging from the MV, the story seems to be about a guy who is not over with his feelings for a girl.  Whether the girl has been caught with a new lover or actually broke up with him and found a new lover, is the mystery in the video.  

Wheesung is like a chameleon he looks differently in each of the album and MV.  As he mentioned in his interviews, his previous songs were mostly about the sad side of loving and love. Same with this video…it portrays envy, jealousy and hurt. 

This is the first MV of Wheesung that I saw which actually has a kissing scene.  I am always wondering if Wheesung could be an actor. I think he can play a lot of roles.   I have not seen all his released MVs, I don’t know if I ever could see them all.  It’s interesting to see him play roles in his MV.  His eyes are expressive, he can actually look so sad in his MVs and be refreshing when he smiles.

The series of shots above are actually showing Wheesung as the new lover in this MV.  I think the kissing scene was tastesfully done but the end of the MV was tragic.  Hmmm I think I need to figure out who the lady partner was
