Another program I missed from KBS — Song Battle where Wheesung guested. Got the chance to see this clip from You Tube when he did cover of another favorite (Taeyang) artist.
As expected this is one easy song for Wheesung to sing… now I won’t be doing some fsort of face off with Taeyang on this one because I am definitely torn. I just love how this song became so popular with that simple R&B voice of Taeyang. And now… Wheesung is giving it some attitude.

Wheesung is a regular guest to this show whenever he is promoting new album or single. I got to see this video last month over at KBS Global, it was actually shown March 13 but it wasn’t subbed during that time. I did not finishwatching it last time so it was a good luck to get the chance to see it again last week. The said episode has been replayed in the same channel and is already subbed.
Surprisingly our very bright R&B Prince got the Star Golden Bell and he was able to answer the final question… whoa~ our Wheesung got some brains. The clip above shows the perfectionist in him. He was a bit dissapointed with Alexander missing some Korean words.
I love it when Wheesung is promoting an album or single because he gets to guest on variety shows specially for a variety show where I get to know more about him. He recently guested at the Star Golden Bell ( I missed watching this show to think we have KBS at home).
The rest of the parts were posted by KPOPgerald1 at You Tube. Wheesung looks so refreshing in this show. I love the glasses it makes his nose look perfect. The hair reminds me of Domyuji of Hana Yori Dango 
I was too excited yesterday that I almost forgot to write about how Wheesung said Hyori is like 누나 (nuna – older sister) or a cousin to him. It was an awkward situation to film the MV of Byeori Chida mainly because as Isak said with the nuna and cousin thoughts in mind how can they act as lovers.
Cherbear did point out he wants to collaborate with Neyo. It would be great for Wheesung to sing a Korean version of ‘Closer’ 
Another thing I loved from that interview is when he said he likes to rap. I certainly love it when he raps, for some reasons I find him sexy when Wheesung get’s into this thing. Just like the song 만져주기, he drops it so well. Funny thing is during the interview Isak started some lines (well I can’t say flirting –almost) on how sexier has he become but Wheesung reacted pointing out his outfit. I feel like being Isak at that time saying that even with just his face, he looks sexy. Oh my Wheesung can both be sexy and cute that is one thing for sure.

I never thought being late today in the office could be good. Getting up 8am I tuned in to Pops in Seoul and voila… what a pleasant surprise, Wheesung is being interviewed by Isak. I almost screamed seeing him on TV. I have been waiting for it for like ages. I always see him via You Tube but never on the actual TV guesting. So today, it feels like I won something.
My dear Wheesung is in green and black striped hooded shirt. He seems to be ready for a stroll in the park. It was very refreshing to see Wheesung on TV and I totally agree with Isak on how humble he is.
I was able to start with the portion where Isak is making a comment on how happy Wheesung looks the past days. Wheesung said he is happy but not exactly very very happy as Isak seems to be implying. Well Wheesung you just made me very very happy today.
Some things I couldn’t forget on the interview is that. He confirmed that there is really nothing going on with him and Hyori. I actually feel relieved knowing this, not because I don’t want Wheesung to be romantically involved with someone but I just feel it cannot be Hyori. I know her fans may say the feeling is mutual (they don’t want Wheesung for Hyori) well and good.
I totally admire Wheesung’s attitude. Being an artist, composer and lyricist he is really very professional. Isak mentioned about him writing lyrics of his songs and Wheesung said he writes most of them not because he wanted to but the composer requests for it. He said even if he is the artist who will sing the song, he thinks of how the composer would feel if the artists insist on lyrics that he likes.
Isak straightforwadly said he likes Wheesung’s version of Insomnia than that of Craig David… I totally agree but i love Craig David’s too =) That shy reaction from Wheesung totally awed Isak. I am so glad Wheesung is so normal as a person. He said he doesn’t have the confidence with him much as the other men out there have. He get’s on relationship troubles because he says what he cannot give or commit. It freaked me that he views it as a weakness and then again I share the same thoughts as that of Isak. Wheesung’s honesty is so admireable.
Wheesung mentioned of wanting to work with some Korean idol boy bands like Shinee and DBSK not as an artist but as producer. He likewise mentioned of also looking forward a collaboration with the rapper from Jewelry. Wheesung said that the girl got a good voice… I don’t like Jewelry but hearing those comments from Wheesung makes me think (i really forgot the name) she has a good voice.
I was a bit excited to hear that he is being considered and he is likewise considering doing some acting job. Wow with all the passion that Wheesung has, I think he can give it a try but he said he cannot do both and I am glad to hear he is still choosing singing. I hope he doesn’t leave singing… I love Wheesung’s music.
At the last portion of the interview Isak asked Wheesung to give a parting message to his foreign fans, this is really stupid but for the very first time (from watching so many messages from other artist) i totally felt the sincerity from of an artist. He said 사랑해요 to his fans and I was like ~ whoa he said he loves me as his fan (as if I am the only one). He also said he will try his best so that his foreign fans would love him till the end. Oh my Wheesung your not going anywhere don’t you? I will love your music till the very end!
The Insomnia fever is unstoppable. A more recent performance of this song is at the Music Core of MBC.
I am again biased, I love him more in outfits like this. I wonder if this song gets to be number 1 in the Inkigayo.

He likewise sang songs he have written for Younha and Lee Hyori entitled Password 486 and Mr. Big respectively.
What surprised me the most is seeing him perform with Jewelry S… the song Miss U was nice really but the nose of the member in skirt is a bit scary. Reminds me of her big sister from Jewelry. Funny how the girls say rag — rag –on instead or rock rock on =D
And he sings Because of You from Neyo… I think he can make a good cover of this song too. There is so much that Wheesung can sing — Neyo songs are also perfect to cover.
There is so much of Wheesung nowadays in Korean TV. I wish I am in Korea now. How can I sneak out of work O_O
This is the second time that I saw Wheesung perform in this show. The first time was singing Fading Star, it’s a little funny since I always thought this show features either old or trot singers.
The reaction of the viewers aren’t bad at all… i just don’t know if they can really relate to this upbeat R&B song =D

Before posting this, I made some boo boo 3 days ago. I posted something random in this site which is intended for the other blogsite I am maintaining. Some who have been visiting my site must be thinking I have gone mad =P
Well i found this video again from the same person who posted Wheesung performing Ordinary People in a radio show singing 다행이다 which I am hearing for the first time. I don’t know if whose song is this but Wheesung feels the song that much.
The song is entitled Dahaengida which translates to ‘fortunate’. He was so touched after the rendition… I was touched too with his great voice.
