Pleasant Surprise! Kingdom of the Wind OST Live

Well at least for me.  I have heard this song when this drama was about to launch.  Knowing its Wheesung who will be singing the main theme… it there any reason for me not to listen to it? I could listen  to him even if its trot.

What a pleasant surprise to know he did sing this song live.  All along i thought he will remain a great voice behind the wonderful OST of the said drama.  Thanks to selvaspeedy for sharing this video.  Cherbear was right afterall it was indeed hard to follow through Wheesung and the sad part is videos of his performances in You Tube are posted a bit late than bubble gum ones.   I also did find this video when he recorded the song. 

My jaw dropped voluntarily, hearing the acapella intro.  It was 100% Wheesung’s voice alone at the start, and 200% man is gorgeous at 1:49 to 2:00. The side view and facial expression is killing me.   He’s not wearing fancy clothes during the recording…really good to see him that way — feels like someone to walk with leisurely.   Credits to jazzaylink for the video on this one.

I finally got the chance to listen to the main theme song of  the newest Korean Period Drama –Land of the wind.  I have searched on Korean websites where I can listen to some sort of drama preview with the main theme being played.

The song title has been translated in some websites as Alive…and Dead but it doesn’t seem to be good to be an English title of a song so I am making my own translation of the title — To Live and To Die.  Please go and check the link while its there.  Listen to the wonderful voice of Wheesung

Land of the Wind (바람의 나라)

After singing the Official Soundtrack (OST) for Three Dad and One Mom TV series, Wheesung once again brings life to another OST.  This time for the new KBS drama Land of the Wind featuring Jumong star Song Ilgook.

Wheesung sang the theme for the drama -- Land of the Wind

Land of the Wind is not far from Jumong as it is a period drama as well and to some extent a continuation of the said story.  The drama focuses on Jumong’s grandson Moo Hyul who later on became Daemusin.

What interest me is to hear the main theme Alive…and Dead… which according to news is being received well by viewers and fans of k-pop.

Singer  Wheesung recorded the main theme song for a TV drama series for the first time since his debut. Wheesung sang “Alive…and Dead…,” the theme song for the brand new KBS drama series “The Land of Wind” starring actors Song Il-guk and Choi Jung-won. The song was aired for the first time on September 18.

The song was composed by Park  Geun-Tae and written by Kang Eun Kyung.  The producers of the original soundtrack said the song has been getting favorable response deom both K-pop fans and drama fans.
